In jr. high and high school I was that nerdy girl that no one wanted. You know, pretty smart, uncool, and not especially pretty. But, I refused to conform to what was “in” just to be accepted.
Now, a few to several years later, that information I learned is paying off seven fold (at least!), and I didn’t have to compromise who I am. Mind you, that doesn’t mean that my high school years weren’t hard and even hurtful at times. But it was worth it. Found a man who loves me for who I am, and I’m pursuing what I love and doing well.
The point of this is to encourage anyone who reads this not to give up on yourself. It’s cliche, but there’s only one “you.” Don’t give that person away for temporary acceptance. You are unique. You are beautiful. You are a Creation of Yahweh. And don’t you forget it!
